Trina Chintley

We would like to introduce Trina to you, and for you to get to know the journey that led to her becoming part of the Catalyst Foundation – S.H.E Programme, a little bit more.
Trina joined the Catalyst Foundation – S.H.E Programme in 2023, as one of our beneficiary’s from the Chibombo district in Zambia. Her favourite subject at school is learning the English language, but dislikes learning Social Studies. Trina’s hobbies include watching Netball, dancing at weddings and taking part in Athletics.
Before joining the S.H.E Programme, Trina had numerous barriers that prevented her from going to school and attaining an education. Sadly, she became an orphan at a very young age, and currently lives with her elderly great grandmother and three younger siblings. Her great grandfather unfortunately also passed away from high blood pressure and diabetes, making it very difficult for Trina’s great grandmother to meet the family’s basic needs, as he was the breadwinner.
Towela Mwiinga

We would like to introduce Towela to you, and for you to get to know the journey that led to her becoming part of the Catalyst Foundation – S.H.E Programme, a little bit more.
Towela joined the Catalyst Foundation – S.H.E Programme in 2023, as one of our beneficiary’s from the Chibombo district in Zambia. Her favourite subject at school is Mathematics, and her least favourite is Art. Towela’s hobbies include reading novels and taking part in Athletics.
Before joining the S.H.E Programme, Towela had numerous barriers that prevented her from going to school and attaining an education. She lives with both her parents and five siblings. Despite her parents farming to earn an income, they are unable to fully meet Towela’s basic needs. Times when the family’s farming projects are not going too well, Towela is unable to go to school. However, when she was able to return to school, she did not have access to stationery supplies, textbooks or a school uniform, making her feel insecure.
Thandi Mwinga

We would like to introduce Thandi to you, and for you to get to know the journey that led to her becoming part of the Catalyst Foundation – S.H.E Programme, a little bit more.
Thandi joined the Catalyst Foundation – S.H.E Programme in 2023, as one of our beneficiary’s from the Chibombo district in Zambia. Her favourite subject at school is Mathematics, but finds learning the English language very difficult. Thandi’s favourite sport at school is Athletics.
Before joining the S.H.E Programme, Thandi had numerous barriers that prevented her from going to school and attaining an education. Sadly, her father abandoned the family when Thandi was very young, leaving behind her mother and four siblings. Thandi’s mother looks after her and her siblings, along with five other family members, including her 78 year old grandmother. Due to her father having been the breadwinner for the family,
Thandi Kamwele

Thandi joined the Catalyst Foundation – S.H.E Programme in 2023, as one of our beneficiary’s from the Chibombo district in Zambia. Her favourite subject at school is Mathematics, and her least favourite is English language. She enjoys playing Netball, and her main hobby is reading novels.
Before joining the S.H.E Programme, Thandi had numerous barriers that prevented her from going to school and attaining an education. She currently lives with her mother and siblings. Sadly, her father left the family to seek a better life, where he later remarried. Despite Thandi’s mother farming to earn an income, she was unable to fully meet the family’s basic needs. Times when the family’s farming projects were not going too well, Thandi was unable to go to school.
Salma Banda

We would like to introduce Salma to you, and for you to get to know the journey that led to her becoming part of the Catalyst Foundation – S.H.E Programme, a little bit more.
Salma joined the Catalyst Foundation – S.H.E Programme in 2023, as one of our beneficiary’s from the Chibombo district in Zambia. Her favourite subject at school is Science, and her least favourite is English language. She enjoys playing girls Football, and her main hobby is listening to traditional Zambia music.
Before joining the S.H.E Programme, Salma had numerous barriers that prevented her from going to school and attaining an education. She currently lives with both her parents and six siblings. Despite her parents farming to earn an income, they are unable to fully meet the family’s basic needs. Times when the family’s farming projects were not going too well, Salma was unable to go to school. Due to her determination to receive an education, she would sometimes offer to work in the fields of nearby community members, to try and earn some money to purchase her basic school supplies, as her parents were unable to.
Robyn Lufazema

We would like to introduce Robyn to you, and for you to get to know the journey that led to her becoming part of the Catalyst Foundation – S.H.E Programme, a little bit more.
Robyn joined the Catalyst Foundation – S.H.E Programme in 2023, as one of our beneficiary’s from the Chibombo district in Zambia. Her favourite subject at school is English, and her least favourite is learning Chitongo (one of Zambian’s local languages). Robyn’s hobbies include reading novels.
Before joining the S.H.E Programme, Robyn had numerous barriers that prevented her from going to school and attaining an education. When she was very young, her father unfortunately committed a crime that resulted in him being arrested and placed in jail. As a result of her father’s wrongdoing, Robyn’s mother was financially unable to look after her, along with her six siblings.
Roberta Chapoloko

Roberta joined the Catalyst Foundation – S.H.E Programme in 2023, as one of our beneficiary’s from the Chibombo district in Zambia. Mwila Sibanda

Mwila joined the Catalyst Foundation – S.H.E Programme in 2023, as one of our beneficiary’s from the Chibombo district in Zambia. Her favourite subject at school is Mathematics, and her least favourite is Geography. Mwila’s hobbies include reading English novels.
Before joining the S.H.E Programme, Mwila had numerous barriers that prevented her from going to school and attaining an education. When she was a child, Mwila’s father abandoned the family, leaving her mother to look after and provide for nine family members in total, including her 83 year old grandmother. This was devasting to the family. Mwila’s father was the breadwinner of the family, thus, it left her mother. unable to provide for, and meet her family’s basic needs.
