Landisa Choleba

We would like to introduce Landisa to you, and for you to get to know the journey that led to her becoming part of the Catalyst Foundation – S.H.E Programme, a little bit more.

Landisa joined the Catalyst Foundation – S.H.E Programme in 2023, as one of our beneficiary’s from the Chibombo district in Zambia. Her favourite subject at school is learning the English language, however, she finds learning Chitonga (one of Zambia’s local languages), very difficult. Landisa enjoys playing soccer and reading English novels.

Before joining the S.H.E Programme, Landisa had numerous barriers that prevented her from going to school and attaining an education. Landisa’s parents separated when she was still an infant. Due to them both being unemployed and unable to meet Landisa and her five siblings’ basic needs, she decided to live with her aunt, who is slightly more financially stable, but she also struggles to support Landisa from time to time, and her siblings live with nearby relatives, scattered around the Chibombo district.

Kitana Mangwato

We would like to introduce Kitana to you, and for you to get to know the journey that led to her becoming part of the Catalyst Foundation – S.H.E Programme, a little bit more.

Kitana joined the Catalyst Foundation – S.H.E Programme in 2023, as one of our beneficiary’s from the Chibombo district in Zambia. Her favourite subject at school is Mathematics, but finds Social Studies very difficult. Kitana enjoys playing girls Football at school, and she loves to study her school work.

Before joining the S.H.E Programme, Kitana had numerous barriers that prevented her from going to school and attaining an education. She currently lives with both her parents and six siblings. Due to both her parents being unemployed, their financial situation was not great, leading them to be unable to full provide for the family’s basic needs, especially when it came to Kitana’s education.

Jika Mwele

We would like to introduce Jika to you, and for you to get to know the journey that led to her becoming part of the Catalyst Foundation – S.H.E Programme, a little bit more.

Jika joined the Catalyst Foundation – S.H.E Programme in 2023, as one of our beneficiary’s from the Chibombo district in Zambia. Her favourite subject at school is Mathematics, but she does find learning Chitonga (one of Zambia’s local languages) really difficult. She enjoys playing Netball at school.

Before joining the S.H.E Programme, Jika had numerous barriers that prevented her from going to school and attaining an education. Jika lives with her mother and two siblings, as sadly, her father passed away when she was very young. Jika’s mother sometimes works in the nearby community members fields, but this is not consistent, as she has to also look after the family and running of the household. To assist her family’s financial situation and her schooling expenses, Jika would sometimes not go to school, to also find work, to earn some money.

Jennifer Hachiduntula

We would like to introduce Jennifer to you, and for you to get to know the journey that led to her becoming part of the Catalyst Foundation – S.H.E Programme, a little bit more.

Jennifer joined the Catalyst Foundation – S.H.E Programme in 2023, as one of our beneficiary’s from the Chibombo district in Zambia. Her favourite subjects at school are Mathematics and Tonga (one of Zambian’s local languages), and her least favourite is English langauge. Jennifer’s hobbies include playing games with her friends and reading novels.

Before joining the S.H.E Programme, Jennifer had numerous barriers that prevented her from going to school and attaining an education. She currently lives with both her parents and three siblings. Despite her parents farming to earn an income, they were unable to fully meet Jennifer’s basic needs.

Hellen Siyabasimbi

We would like to introduce Hellen to you, and for you to get to know the journey that led to her becoming part of the Catalyst Foundation – S.H.E Programme, a little bit more.

Hellen joined the Catalyst Foundation – S.H.E Programme in 2023, as one of our beneficiary’s from the Chibombo district in Zambia. Her favourite subject at school is learning English language, but finds Mathematics very difficult. Hellen’s main hobby is reading English novels.

Before joining the S.H.E Programme, Hellen had numerous barriers that prevented her from going to school and attaining an education. She currently lives with both her parents and five siblings. Despite her parents being farmers, they were often unable to make ends meet, especially when it came to Hellen’ education.

Halima Manjata

We would like to introduce Halima to you, and for you to get to know the journey that led to her becoming part of the Catalyst Foundation – S.H.E Programme, a little bit more.

Halima joined the Catalyst Foundation – S.H.E Programme in 2023, as one of our beneficiary’s from the Chibombo district in Zambia. Her favourite subject at school is Mathematics, but she does find learning Chitonga (one of Zambia’s local languages) really difficult. She enjoys playing Netball at school.

Dorcas Nakalumbi

We would like to introduce Dorcas to you, and for you to get to know the journey that led to her becoming part of the Catalyst Foundation – S.H.E Programme, a little bit more.

Dorcas joined the Catalyst Foundation – S.H.E Programme in 2023, as one of our beneficiary’s from the Chibombo district in Zambia. Her favourite subject at school is Science, but finds learning the English language very difficult. Dorcas’s favourite sport at school is Netball, and her main hobby is reading novels.

Before joining the S.H.E Programme, Dorcas had numerous barriers that prevented her from going to school and attaining an education. She currently lives with both her parents. Due to them being unemployed, they were often unable to make ends meet, especially when it came to Dorcas’ education.

Cheyenne Mwete

We would like to introduce Cheyenne to you, and for you to get to know the journey that led to her becoming part of the Catalyst Foundation – S.H.E Programme, a little bit more.

Cheyenne joined the Catalyst Foundation – S.H.E Programme in 2023, as one of our beneficiary’s from the Chibombo district in Zambia. Her favourite subject at school is learning English language, but finds Science very difficult. Cheyenne enjoys playing Netball at school, she loves mentoring young girls, and being a role model to them.

Before joining the S.H.E Programme, Cheyenne had numerous barriers that prevented her from going to school and attaining an education. She currently lives with both her parents and seven siblings. With her father being disabled, and her mother having to look after the household, their financial situation was really terrible.

Beverly Mwemba

We would like to introduce Beverly to you, and for you to get to know the journey that led to her becoming part of the Catalyst Foundation – S.H.E Programme, a little bit more.

Beverly joined the Catalyst Foundation – S.H.E Programme in 2023, as one of our beneficiary’s from the Chibombo district in Zambia. Her favourite subject at school is Mathematics, but finds learning the English language very difficult. Beverly’s favourite sport at school is Athletics, and her main hobby is reading novels.

Before joining the S.H.E Programme, Dorcas had numerous barriers that prevented her from going to school and attaining an education. Sadly, due to her mother’s severe disability, Beverly’s father abandoned the family, to seek a better life, when she was very young. This was very difficult for the family, as Beverly’s father was the only one who was able to work and earn a living.

Betty Mutanga

We would like to introduce Betty to you, and for you to get to know the journey that led to her becoming part of the Catalyst Foundation – S.H.E Programme, a little bit more.

Betty joined the Catalyst Foundation – S.H.E Programme in 2023, as one of our beneficiary’s from the Chibombo district in Zambia. Her favourite subject at school is Mathematics, however, she does find learning Science really difficult. She enjoys playing girls Football at school, and reading novels.

Before joining the S.H.E Programme, Betty had numerous barriers that prevented her from going to school and attaining an education. She lives with both her parents and two siblings. They are both unemployed and find it difficult to meet the family’s needs.
